Caring for your handmade bag
At Made By Meema, we pride ourselves on the craftsmanship and durability of our bespoke handmade bags. Each bag is created with attention to detail and designed to last for many years. However, as with all handmade items, they require careful handling to maintain their unique beauty and integrity.
Please remember these important care guidelines:
- Avoid excessive moisture: Do not let your Made By Meema bag get too wet, as this could affect the shape of certain styles. If your bag does get wet, please dry it out thoroughly and completely before storing it away.
- No tumble drying: Our bags are not suitable for tumble drying.
- Protect from prolonged sunlight: Do not leave your bag in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this could cause brighter colors to fade over time.
- Mindful use: When using your bag, please remember that some parts may be hand-sewn. Hand sewing is slightly weaker than machine sewing, so be mindful when putting items into and taking items out of your handcrafted bag.
- Proper storage: When not in use, store your bag in a sensible way. We recommend using a bag hanger so that the weight is evenly distributed throughout the design, helping to maintain its shape.
Returns and refunds policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your Made By Meema bag. Here’s what you should know about our return and refund process:
- Damaged during delivery: If you receive your Made By Meema bag and it has been damaged during delivery, please return it to us. Upon receipt of the bag, we will issue you with a full refund, including the cost of the return postage.
- Damage due to careless use: Bags that have been damaged through careless use, contrary to our care guidelines, will not be eligible for a refund.
- Not as expected: If you receive your bag and it is not what you expected, you may return it to us. We will issue a full refund upon receipt of the bag, provided it is in unused condition.
